Lups Tuswa before he turned down his debut new ball appearance

On Saturday 2 October 2010 a PCC invitational XI made up mostly of 2nd team players from the 2009/10 season took on the Pinelands High School 1st XI at the Pinelands High School. The game was set for a 55 over a side all day fixture.

Captain, Beefy de Kock lost the toss much to the disappointment of the rest of the team and the home side decided to bat first on wicket that threatened to flatten out later in the day.

Lups Tuswa turned down his debut new ball appearance and Ashley Green took his opportunity bowling a devastating opening spell to knock over 3 top order batsmen inside the first 8 overs. However with the track flattening out the Pinelands High School limped 149 all out with the last wicket falling in the 48th over. Ashley Green coming back for a unprecedented 2nd spell ending up with 5 for 24. He was supported by Conrad Greenshields (2 for 10) and Andre Coetzer (2 for 25) and Beefy de Kock chipped in with 1 for 5.

The PCC Invitational XI reached 150/4 in 38 overs with Richard “Ryder Cup” Thompson scoring 66*. He was assisted by Conrad “The Bully” Greenshields smashing 48 and Denzil Firmstone making 19.
